The ITF inspection, which identified the unpaid wages, took place on July 3, 2024. The oversight was that we did not specify that the abandonment issue was resolved at the time of reporting it, which we will report now.
It is worth noting that since 2017 we have conducted 21 inspections or handled cases on this vessel, where the overwhelming majority have seen seafarers waiting to disembark with owed wages. This is a serial issue.

I refer to your report below of the AF MARINA, IMO Number 9059107 which has been reported to be abandoned in Bari, Italy and is insured with the Shipowners Club. I have contacted the Club and have been informed that the vessel is not abandoned and is currently trading on a regular service between Italy and Albania. The Club has also informed me that the owner of the vessel has communicated to them that there are no outstanding wages owed to the crew. Furthermore, whilst the report notes that there are 3 Romanian crew who have been abandoned, the Club informs me that the vessel does not have any Romanian crew on board the vessel.
