In response to the labour complaint filed against the vessel “EAGLE”, with IMO No. 94449493, we provide you with the latest communications:
1. Through email dated Oct 15, 2024, the PMA sent the 1st communication
addressed to Shipowners, Operators and/or Local Resident Agents, communicating the labor complaint filed against the vessel, and requesting the measures adopted to correct such deficiencies.
2. Through email dated Oct 15, 2024, addressed to P&I Club, requesting the activation of financial security.
3. Through email dated Oct 16, 2024, reiterate email dated Oct 15, 2024, of 1st communication and activation of financial security.
4. Through email dated Oct 21, 2024, addressed to P&I Club, resending the previous communication, since no response has been received.
5. Through email dated Oct 21, 2024, the P&I Club indicated:
“... Thank you very much for your email, and apologies for not having replied to your previous emails. We see now from your below that you had emailed us last week, but those emails seem to have been blocked by our firewall and thus not received.
That said, we confirm we have safely received your email of today. We are looking into it and we will revert back to you as soon as possible.”
6. Through email dated Oct 22, 2024, the P&I Club indicated:
“... Following up on our below email, kindly be advised we are seeking the comments of our assured and we are chasing them to obtain their input urgently, but in the meantime could you please send us all the information and documents you currently have on this matter, including contact details on board? ...”
7. Through email dated Oct 22, 2024, the P&I Club indicated:
"... Reference is made to the below email exchanges. We have just received from our assured the attached letter, as prepared by the master of the MV Eagle, in which we are happy to read that all the crew members confirm they have received all their salaries up to date.
Please see attached.
On this basis we trust the crew member(s) complaint is resolved, but looking forward to receiving your kind confirmation for good order with many thanks in advance. ...”
8. Through email dated Oct 22, 2024, we asked for information about the ITF Inspector in charge of the complaint against the vessel EAGLE.
10 October 2024: International Transport Workers' Federation
The latest information we have is that one seafarer is not Palestinian, but Syrian.
