Circumstances
One seafarer requesting assistance with 9 months unpaid wages. It is believed that the rest of the crew are also unpaid, but they are unwilling to come forward and complain.

In response to the above mentioned report regarding the abandonment case of the subject vessel, please be informed that an inspection was conducted by PSC Officers in the port of Elefsis on 12/02/2025. The inspection resulted that the criteria of the Standard A2.5.2 par. 2 of the MLC, 2006 for the abandonment of the existing crew has not been met. Furthermore, it has been noted that three (03) members of the crew was found to be on board for a period of more than twelve (12) months. Additionally there were findings indicating violation of safety and living conditions which have resulted to the detention of the vessel within the framework of the Paris MOU.
Taking into account the aforementioned, please consider updating the IMO/ILO joint database on abandonment, by noting the case as resolved.
3 February 2025: Saint Kitts and Nevis

As per the additional comments, Tanzania have confirmed that the vessel is now a Tanzanian vessel with effect of September 2024.
Please ensure that the correct Flag Administration is referenced in this abandonment case.

8902931(Ali S), flag State is St.Kitts and Nevis, not Tanzania.
27 January 2025: International Transport Workers' Federation
The ship appears as St Kitts & Nevis flag in maritime databases (EQUASIS), but when contacted, the St Kitts & Nevis flag informed us that the vessel had changed flag to Tanzania on 4th September 2024. Tanzania Flag state stated that they would discuss the issue with the owner, and by doing so confirmed the flag change.
