This is to inform you that the Directorate General of Shipping has initiated multiple actions to expedite the repatriation and wage settlement of the affected seafarers.
The following steps have been undertaken:
1. Letters have been issued to the concerned RPSL companies directing them to expedite the repatriation process and ensure timely settlement of wages.
2. The Directorate Seamen’s Employment Office (DSEO) has been instructed to:
◦ Intimate the concerned parties regarding the case,
◦ Follow up regularly with the respective RPSL companies, and
◦ Conduct hearings with the RPSL companies wherever required.
3. The MEA (Division-wise) has been informed about the case to facilitate additional details and necessary coordination.
4. A Demi-Official (DO) letter has been issued to the MoPSW for their intimation and further guidance.
Kindly find attached the excel sheet with case wise updates. It is our humble request to update this in the IMO/ILO Joint database under comments and observation section. We will also be sending regular updates regarding each case as and when we get case notifications so that it can be uploaded in the comments and observation section.
This coordinated approach is aimed at ensuring timely resolution of the matter.

According to research and investigate in this matter as per systematic document the vessel(OLYM ) is not present within the waters under the jurisdiction of this HORMOZGAN province , neither systemically nor physically, and has not entered the waters of SHAHID RAJAEE port.

As you are copied on the correspondence with the crewing and placement agency, dated March 26th, 2025, please note that nothing has been resolved. A significant amount of outstanding wages is still owed to the crew, and repatriation, as per the crew’s wishes, remains an ongoing issue.
We continue to await documentary evidence confirming that the crew has received their full entitlements and that appropriate repatriation arrangements have been made. Until such evidence is submitted and verified, this case remains active and unresolved.
As this matter of abandonment has been brought to the attention of the International Labour Organization (ILO), I am obligated to ensure they are kept informed with accurate and up-to-date information regarding the status of this case.

Further investigation showed that this vessel with the above specifications is not in the waters managed by Iran's Shahid Rajaee Port.

Vessel was deleted by Panama Authorities on 15th April 2024 under name of LADY SOFIA.
We then picked up Guyana registration details via AIS in May 2024 under name of OLYM.
The Guyana registration detail are not valid hence reason we are recording under Guyana False flag.
Vessel definitely not registered legally under Guyana flag.

Please be advised that this vessel does not form a part of the Guyana Ships Registry.
The Maritime Administration Department (MARAD) of Guyana is the only agency with responsibility for the registration and licensing of vessels. Additionally, MARAD has not authorized any agency to operate as a Recognized Organization, or to conduct any related activities on behalf of the Guyana flag.

There is question over the ship’s name—M/V OLYM or OLYMPICS
The concerned crew has informed us that the vessel is under sanction. They have been told that they will only receive their owed wages upon completing their contract and first arriving at the company.
The Insurance company appears to a noncompliant and sanctioned company. Repatriation happens after the contract ends or when the company in Dubai decides.
