Circumstances
Seafarers have outstanding wages of between 3 and 4 months and requesting assistance with repatriation.

According to the latest information received from Unye Port Authority regarding the status of the vessel, it was reported that;
• the vessel is currently at Unye Port.
• at the inspection carried out by the Port Authority officers at Bulutlar Shipyard operating in Unye Port area on February 24, 2025, it was seen that the ship was safely docked at the dock, maintenance and repair continued, and the ship was provided with shore-connected electricity.
• on February 24, 2025, it was reported to the Port Authority by the ship's agency that blankets and provisions were provided upon the request of the ship's crew on February 19, 2025.
• on the other hand, in the verbal interview made with the shipowner of the ship on February 26, 2025; it was informed to us that there are serious problems with the company that still operates the ship due to mismanagement, that they have suffered financial losses, that they will pay the salary receivables of the personnel and that they are looking for a solution to send the personnel who are not needed at this stage in the shipyard to their countries and that they need time.

Please find attached the deletion certificate for the vessel in question.
The ITF Turkey inspector contacted me on February 5th regarding the salary issue, but I informed him that the vessel had been deleted from the Vanuatu registry on November 30th, 2024. We were already aware of salary issues on other vessels owned by the same company and worked with the Turkish ITF officer to ensure all crew members on those vessels were paid.
We had never received any complaints or issues regarding Jetmax 5, but due to the company’s overall attitude towards its personnel, we decided to remove the entire fleet from our registry. As you can see, the case for Jetmax 5 was filed after the vessel was deleted from our registry, and there had been no prior complaints about this vessel. Since the case was filed post-deletion, there is unfortunately nothing further we can do. Nevertheless, we worked diligently with the ITF inspector and did our best to assist the entire crew.
13 February 2025: International Transport Workers' Federation
Contacted the previous flag Venautu on 5th February 2025, the flag informed us that the flag record was deleted on 24th November 2024. And they noted that it appeared on the flag of Tanzania. When we contacted the Tanzania flag on 6th February 2025, they informed us that the vessel was not registered to Tanzania flag, therefore the ship is considered flagless.
The vessel has been in the shipyard since October 2024. The ship's electricity was cut off due to shipyard debt. In addition, the ship was arrested by court order due to other debts of the company. And the sale procedure of the ship was initiated by the creditors.
