C/E was repatriated in April 2025 due to a home issue. The Master was repatriated in June 2025 due to a medical reason with one month wage paid by agent. 8 crew remain onboard vessel waiting for their wages and repatriation.

We have renamed vessel to DONG SHUN 3 effective September 2022
We have removed China flag effective September 2023.
I am now arranging with my colleague to record the vessel as broken-up effective September 2023.
By showing the vessel as broken-up I believe it would remove it from the GISIS website.

It’s all understandable, I would be grateful if you could let us know how the information concerning the ship will now be shown on IMO GISIS. According to China MSA the ship in question is not this one. Therefore, we would be grateful to know how that could be verified as China suggests that until that is done the case should not be entered into the joint IMO/ILO database of abandonment of seafarers.

Again a difficult situation.
Despite requests we do not get data feeds from China.
We have to rely on other sources to update our records.
In this particular instance we were not aware the vessel changed name and was subsequently recycled.
Via the yearly IMO Tonnage Assessment for the first time in 2024 China forwarded us a list of vessels.
For the vessel in question, which we included in our list to China under the name Jin Long 389, China only advised us was that the vessel was not registered under their flag. They did not advise that the vessel changed name, nor the date the vessel was deleted and also did they advise vessel was recycled.
On the information provided by China we deleted the vessel from the China flag.
Based on information provided we also believe this may be a cause of fraudulent use of vessel information.

‘Please note that according to investigations by Chinese authorities, the vessel JIN LONG 389 former registered under the Chinese flag was renamed DONG SHUN 03 in September 2022 and was recycled in September 2023, and that it is confirmed that the vessel reported to have abandoned seafarers is not the same as the originally China-registered vessel. And there may be a case of fraudulent use of vessel information.
We recommend that the information should not be entered into the joint IMO/ILO database of abandonment of seafarers until it has been verified.’
In particular, it would be good to know what the status is of the vessel on which 9 seafarers of Myanmar were abandoned in An-Ping, Tiwan, Province of China on 10 February 2025. Besides that, the information on IMO GISIS seems not be in consistency with the information received from the China MSA.
I would be very grateful if you could verify this, also since according to procedures of the joint ILO/IMO Database on Abandonment of Seafarers the reference to the ship’s registry and detail relies directly on the information included on the IMO GISIS Database.

We are writing to bring to your attention a matter of serious concern regarding the welfare of the crew onboard the vessel Jin Long 389 (also known as HONG TA 8), Abandonment ID: 01262, IMO No.: 8357069, currently located at the Port of An-Ping, Taiwan. The vessel is a general cargo ship, and its financial security provider is listed as the Africa Asia Shipowners Mutual Assurance Association.
We have received a complaint from the crew indicating that food supplies on board have been insufficient. Contrary to the owner's declaration that provisions were available "in adequate quantity," the crew reports that they were forced to rely temporarily on local charitable organizations for food. This situation clearly highlights a shortfall in the basic necessities that should be provided to seafarers under the Maritime Labour Convention (MLC, 2006).
Given the seriousness of this issue, we respectfully request your urgent assistance and intervention to ensure that the crew receives the necessary provisions and support.
