I take this opportunity to recall that in an earlier email message on 24 April 2025, the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS) of India is kindly requested that the list of Indian seafarers who were onboard the vessel‘ORIENTE NO.7’ to be provided to them at the earliest convenience, so that the Directorate can take the necessary actions.
Therefore, I would in particular like to reiterate the earlier request to the flag State Libya to provide the requested information.

With regards to the e-mail dated 19 May 2025; It was informed that concerning the Fishing Vessel ‘ORIENTE NO.7’, IMO Number 8430586, Flag: Libya, having on board 7 seafarers from India who are abandoned in Tuzla, Türkiye since 1 March 2025.
According to the latest information received from Tuzla Regional Port Authority regarding the status of the vessel ‘ORIENTE NO.7’’ ; it was reported that;
• the vessel in question is still in the shipyard in Tuzla Shipyards Region and the maintenance and repair process continues. The vessel was boarded and inspected by the officer in charge of Tuzla Regional Port Authority.
• the name of the vessel has been changed to 'NAJEM AL SHAMAL’,
• there were 7 Indian crew members on board,
• According to the statement of the current personnel, the salary receivable has not been paid for 3 months
• the ship was supplied with electricity and food (for a while) by the shipyard where the ship was docked.
• there was not enough provisions on board

With reference to your emails dated 22 APRIL 2025 regarding the abandonment of the vessel ‘ORIENTE NO.7’ (843058) it has come to our attention that there is no available data on Indian seafarers working on board this vessel in the E-Gov system of DGS.
2. In light of this, it is challenging to examine the matter further without the details of Indian seafarers currently working on board the vessels. Therefore, we kindly request you to provide the necessary details of the Indian seafarers to help resolve this issue.
