(From the IGP&I)
I have consulted NorthStandard as the provider of the MLC financial security certificates for the PATALYA. We have been advised that PATALYA is currently not in operation and has been in dry dock for several months. According to the vessel owners, there were some delays in payments, as well as issues with a few transactions that the owner’s bank had to reverse, but NorthStandard has been informed that these payments are being reprocessed.
The owners have assured NorthStandard that the outstanding salaries are being paid with all payments expected to be cleared this month. NorthStandard has asked the owner of PATALYA to revert with confirmation of payment regarding the outstanding wages. In the meantime, my colleagues will continue to closely monitor this situation and I will revert when there is a further development to report.
