We would like to inform you that, as of today, we have not yet received a final update from the ITF on this matter.

@ITF (Abandonment): We have therefore invited the ITF again, as the original reporting organization, to review the additional information submitted and to share their views on whether the current status of the case (“Disputed”) should be maintained or amended.

Once the ITF’s feedback is received, we will proceed to update the ILO/IMO Joint Database on Abandonment of Seafarers accordingly and will keep the concerned parties informed.

We sincerely appreciate the continued cooperation and efforts of all parties involved.

14 November 2025: International Labour Organization
The TOI CHALLENGER (9151515) case was reported as a new abandonment case by the ITF on 31 July 2025 and subsequently registered in the ILO/IMO Joint Database on Abandonment of Seafarers.
According to the initial report, out of the 18 crew members on board, three seafarers (1 Azerbaijani and 2 Ukrainian) requested assistance. On 8 October 2025, the ITF updated the status of this case to “Disputed.”
Regarding the recent update submitted by the Liberian Registry, we believe that verification from the original reporting organization, the ITF, is required.

Therefore, we would like to invite the ITF to review the materials submitted by the Liberian Registry. Any feedback received will be duly reflected in the database.
We sincerely appreciate the efforts and cooperation of all organizations involved in working toward the resolution of this abandonment case.
