Singapore notes the update provided by IMO regarding the abandonment of vessel, Hornet.

We note that the report by ITF reflects the location of abandonment as “Singapore OPL, Singapore”.

Unfortunately, without additional information on the specific coordinates of the location of abandonment, we surmise this to be “Outside Port Limit” – i.e. not located in Singapore and falling outside Singapore’s jurisdiction.

As such, we would respectfully request that the location be corrected to reflect the actual location of abandonment, and that references to “Singapore” be removed.

20 August 2025: Curaçao
(From the Maritime Authority of Curacao)

Hereby, Curacao – as part of the Kingdom of the Netherlands – acknowledges and checked the information provided underneath.

Curacao confirms that the vessel mentioned flies a false Curacao flag since it is not – and never has been – registered within the flag register of Curacao or the Netherlands. We encourage IMO to do everything within its powers to ensure the safety and prosperity of the seafarers onboard.
