(From the Bahamas Maritime Authority)
With reference to the ongoing enquiry concerning the M/V Karewood Pride, we wish to report to the IMO and ILO, in accordance with the established guidelines and procedures outlined in document IMO/ILO/WGLLCCS6/6, that the total outstanding wages for June 2025 have been duly paid by the shipowner/manager to the 10 affected crew members on 6 August 2025.
This administration has received the crew list and corresponding payment receipts from the ship management company, Karewood Management OU, as evidence of settlement.
Furthermore, we wish to clarify that, since the outstanding wages were settled within two months (by 6 August 2025), this situation does not meet the criteria for “Abandonment” as defined by the joint IMO/ILO framework. Accordingly, we do not support the inclusion of this case in the joint IMO/ILO abandonment database, even under the status of “resolved.”
