Further to your inquiry regarding the GSP FALCON abandonment case, we wish to assure you that we are actively addressing the matter.
Our office has been in continuous engagement with the relevant parties including the vessel’s P&I Club, Hydor, and the operators.
Not withstanding, we have issued a Prohibition of Sailing Notice (PSN) to the vessel in order to prevent its departure until the outstanding issues are resolved. We continue to monitor the crew’s welfare and maintain communication with the available stakeholders to pursue a resolution.
We remain committed to fulfilling our responsibilities under the relevant conventions and will provide IMO with further updates as new developments occur.
1 October 2025: Türkiye

With regards to the e-mail dated 11 September 2025; It was informed that Diving Support Vessel: ‘GSP FALCON’, IMO Number 8324579, Flag: Belize, having on board 8 seafarers (only 5 seafarers are requesting assistance) from Malaysia (3) and Romania (5) who were abandoned in Tuzla, Türkiye on 1 May 2025.
According to the latest information received from Tuzla Regional Port Authority regarding the status of the vessel ‘GSP FALCON’ ; it was reported that;
• the vessel is currently located at the shipyard in the Tuzla Shipyard Area, and the maintenance and repair process is ongoing,
• there are 4 persons of Romanian nationality on board,
• the ship's P&I Certificate is invalid,
• the ship was lastly supplied with provisions on September 15, 2025,
• the shipowner's representative informed the Port Authority on September 30, 2025, that the crew's wages receivable had been paid.
