With reference to my earlier email sent today regarding the SEA MOON, I would like to provide the following updates for your kind attention:
• The outstanding wages for all crew members have been fully paid as of 23 September 2025, amounting to approximately USD 141,000.
• Crew repatriation and replacement are currently underway. Of the original 18 crew members, 9 have already been disembarked, and 5 new crew members have joined, bringing the current total on board to 13.
• The deficiencies that led to the detention of the vessel under Port State Control have not yet been rectified. The vessel will remain detained until all necessary repairs are completed, followed by a re-inspection, after which the vessel may be released from detention.

I herewith would like to call on the flag State Comoros to provide the requested information about two Myanmar seafarers, including name, passport number, and Seafarer Identification and Record Book (SIRB) number.

We have received a vessel abandonment report concerning the General Cargo Sea Moon (IMO No. 9647344) under flag of Comoros. According to the report, the vessel was abandoned by the ship owner in Busan, Republic of Korea on 1 June 2025. There are two seafarers onboard from Myanmar, who have unpaid wages July 2025.
During the investigation of the incident, it was observed that the vessel was not officially registered with the DMA for employing Myanmar Seafarers. To proceed with the necessary actions and provide assistance to the affected seafarer, it is required detailed information about two Myanmar seafarers, including name, passport number, and Seafarer Identification and Record Book (SIRB) number.
We kindly request your assistance in providing the required information. Your prompt response will greatly assist us in addressing this urgent matter and ensuring the welfare of the stranded seafarers.
Therefore, we would like to express our gratitude for notifying the department regarding the unpaid wages of the seafarer mentioned above.
