Port of abandonment: 09/10/2025 at sea
Outstanding wages of 3 months. The seafarer was recruited as an AB but is now performing Chief Officer duties. The seafarer has also alleged that he has been attacked by the Master, which supported by a signed document by the rest of the crew

Referring to the below, please be advised that Mr. ***, Chief Officer of the tug CARINA (IMO 9551856) was repatriated on 21 October 2025.
Also please be advised that the seafarer has not received his contractual wages prior to his repatriation. On his sign off Mr. *** and the Managers of the tug signed the attached statement.
Therefore, we are awaiting confirmation from the seafarer regarding the receipt of the outstanding payment as per the statement before closing this case.

With reference to your below email regarding the abandonment of the vessel 'Carina' (IMO No. 9551856), we have noted that there is no available data on Indian seafarers working on board this vessel in the E-Governance system of the Directorate General of Shipping (DGS).
2. In light of this, it is challenging to examine the matter further without the details of Indian seafarers currently working on board the vessel. Therefore, we kindly request you to provide the necessary details of the Indian seafarers to help resolve this issue.
