With this email I would like to share details with regard to the crew of ‘REX 1’, IMO Number 9219056. According to recent communications with the Owners and Crewing Managers, an on-signer crew has been prepared and is currently awaiting visa approval. As soon as the visas are granted, the Crewing Managers will proceed with arranging flight tickets, after which the crew change will be carried out, and all Georgian seafarers will be repatriated.
Furthermore, the Owners have already settled the delayed salaries of all Georgian seafarers and are presently working on obtaining visas for the on-signer crew.
In addition, the Port Authority Office of Khorfakkan Port has officially advised that, as an exception, they will issue a Non-Objection Certificate (NOC) to enable the renewal of the vessel’s FTA certificate and to facilitate the crew change process.
We are in close cooperation with owners and managers and waiting for their actions. We will update with further details as soon as possible.
