In reference to your communication regarding the newly reported abandonment case concerning m/v GRIGORY MALOV, IMO No. 8986365, we would like to provide the requested information and comments, which fall under the competence of the Bulgarian Maritime Administration.
Following receipt of an email containing a crew complaint from the agent of m/v GRIGORY MALOV in the port of Burgas on 22.12.2025, regarding unpaid wages, the Port State Control – Burgas immediately contacted the ship’s owner through the ship’s agent and required that all outstanding wages be settled prior to the vessel’s departure from the port.
As a result, on 23.12.2025, we received written confirmation (attached) that all outstanding wages to the crew had been settled. The confirmation also stated that neither the Master nor the crew of m/v GRIGORY MALOV had any claims against the shipowners or managers of the vessel. Later on the same day, 23.12.2025, the vessel departed from the port of Burgas. The ship is no longer in the port.
