Circumstances
Crew owed wages from July 2010. Repatriation requested. Owners not supplying provisions for the vessel. Crew members gave power of attorney to a lawyer to act on their behalf. Eight Burmese crew and four Indians left the vessel at their own expense. Vessel is unseaworthy and lacking in safety equipment. Company is bankrupt, case is in court. Three other vessels are also in difficulty and there are a number of additional claims from ex crew members.
