I am contacting you from the behalf of the State Maritime and Port Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We have received information regarding the abandonment of the vessel ODESSA 1 (IMO Number 8891390, Flag: Comoros). The relevant information has been forwarded to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the information received from the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the Republic of Lebanon, crew members *** and *** contacted the Embassy online on 10 February 2026 regarding the matter in question. They stated that their employment contracts had expired, that they had left the vessel, and that they wished to return to Azerbaijan, requesting certain legal assistance in this regard. The Embassy provided them with the relevant information and necessary guidance, and on 14 February, the above-mentioned persons informed that they had successfully returned to the country.
