China MSA has contacted the agent for M/V KAM STAR in China. On March 25, 2026, the agent received a letter from the shipowner, stating that the vessel is currently located in the waters near Shidao, Shandong, China, and the seafarers are staying in a hotel ashore. The shipowner claimed that none of the seafarers have requested repatriation. The outstanding wages (part) will be paid no later than April 16, 2026, and outstanding wages (remaining) will be paid no later than April 30, 2026.
