In this regard it could be helpful to note that the IMO Legal Committee, recently at its 113rd session in April 2026, considered that the flag State responsibilities that were accrued before deletion from the registration did not cease to exist because of the removal from the flag registry (refer document LEG 113/19 paragraph 4(c).7.2)

I would like to provide updated information regarding the complaints related to Marina (IMO 9005493) and Rapid (IMO 8919233).
Both vessels are no longer related to Tanzania. Please find the updated details below:
• Marina (IMO 9005493): The vessel was cancelled on 16 June 2026 due to the UANI case.
In view of the above, may I kindly request that the relevant information in the ILO/IMO database be updated accordingly.
