Thank you for your message regarding Case ID 01683 concerning the vessel KALI KARDIA (IMO 9437529).

This case was reported to the ILO/IMO Joint Database on Abandonment of Seafarers by the ITF as a new case of seafarer abandonment on 7 April 2026.
Following verification involving the relevant flag State, port State, and seafarers' State of nationality, the case was published on the database on 7 May 2026.

According to our database records, the flag State of the vessel, Liberia, submitted updated information on this case on 24 April 2026, which did not include any indication that the case fails to meet the criteria for abandonment.

In light of the above, I would like to share the request of LIBERTY NAVIGATION C. Ltd for review with the ITF, as the entity that originally reported this case, and invite their comments.

In accordance with the relevant procedures, differing views will be reflected where necessary, and any additional relevant information received will be reflected on the public website.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to following up further once we have received the ITF's response.

(From the LIBERTY NAVIGATION C. Ltd (As Agents))

We refer to Case ID 01683, registered on the ILO Abandonment of Seafarers Database in connection with the vessel KALI KARDIA (IMO 9437529) under our Management.

Please find attached the signed documents from the seafarers confirming receipt of their allotments for January and February 2026.

For your information, the two seafarers who have “N/A” for the month of February had not requested any allotment.

We therefore kindly request that the case be removed from the public database entirely, considering that, to the best of our knowledge, this case does not meet the criteria for classification as “abandonment” under MLC-2006, Standard A2.5.2, paragraph 2(c), which defines abandonment as including a "failure to pay contractual wages for a period of at least two months".

We thank you in advance for your attention and look forward to your positive response.
