(From the Vanuatu International Shipping Registry)
I have just received the attached report from the Government of India and would like to clarify the situation.
Unfortunately, we never received the referenced report from IMO, as IMO is still using the previous Vanuatu Administration email addresses. Please check GISIS, where our current Administration contact details are available. We would also appreciate it if you could copy me directly on any future correspondence regarding Vanuatu-flagged vessels.
Please note that the subject vessel was deleted from the Vanuatu Registry on May 6, 2026, and is currently sailing under the flag of Comoros.
As the vessel is no longer registered under the Vanuatu flag, our Administration has limited authority regarding the crew's outstanding wages. Nevertheless, we remain committed to supporting the crew and their rights. To that end, the Vanuatu Administration will not issue a Deletion Certificate/Cancellation for the vessel until all outstanding crew wages have been fully paid by the owner. This is the strongest measure currently available to us in support of the affected seafarers.
