With reference to the abandonment case of M/V STAR JAVA [IMO: 9562594] , the Tuvalu Ship Registry wishes to provide the following update.
The Administration has received payment advice for the affected Indian crew and Indonesian crew. The relevant supporting evidence is attached for your reference.
We also wish to advise that the Master and Chief Engineer have been repatriated. As the vessel is presently under investigation by the local authority, the remaining crew repatriation is being arranged progressively, subject to permission and arrangements by the local authority.
The Administration continues to closely monitor the case with the Owner/Manager, ITF, insurer and relevant parties to ensure that the remaining crew matters, including repatriation and any outstanding entitlements, are properly completed.
For your reference, we attach the relevant email correspondence with the ITF and Owner/Manager, together with the available payment and repatriation evidence.
In view of the above actions and supporting evidence, the Administration kindly requests that the case be closed in the IMO/ILO joint abandonment database.
We will provide further updates if there are any additional developments.
