With reference to the reported abandonment case concerning M.V. OCEAN FUEL (IMO No. 99205653), please be informed of the following updates:
1. Outstanding Wages:
The matter concerning the outstanding wages of the crew has been addressed. All outstanding financial dues owed to the crew have been fully settled.
For your reference and verification, we will attach the relevant bank payment receipts as evidence confirming that the outstanding wages have been paid to the crew.
2. Vessel Detention / Insurance Certificates:
The vessel is currently being detained in Shinas, Oman.
The Maritime Authority contacted the Flag Administration of Comoros to verify the validity and authenticity of the vessel’s Certificate of Registry. The Comoros Maritime Administration confirmed the validity of the vessel’s registration certificate.
However, we were subsequently informed by the Flag Administration that the vessel’s BCC/NWRC insurance certificates have expired and have not been renewed.
Accordingly, based on the instructions received from the Flag Administration, the vessel has been detained and will remain detained until valid and renewed BCC/NWRC insurance certificates are provided.
We trust the above clarifies the current status of the case. Please find attached the relevant bank payment receipts for your reference and records.
