I herewith would like to kindly thank Guyana for the received information. I herewith would like to kindly invite ITF who initially reported this new abandonment case on the current status of the vessel.

With reference to your email regarding the reported abandonment of eight Indian seafarers aboard the M/V MISS VARSHA, IMO No. 8420713, in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, please be advised that the Maritime Administration Department contacted the vessel owner concerning the matter.
The vessel owner has informed the Administration that all eight seafarers have been repatriated and that all outstanding wages have been settled.

Please be advised the vessel is legitimately flying the Guyana flag. Therefore, I herewith would like to kindly invite the maritime authorities of Guyana to provide for an update what actions have been undertaken to resolve this new abandonment case
