Please be advised the vessels flag registration details were updated to Antigua & Barbuda earlier this month on 2nd September 2026 based on a first initial AIS transmission of the same date and corroborated by the flag data reflected on the American P&I Club website search.
We do not receive a data geed from Antigua & Barbuda nor have received any certificates from the vessel’s owners / managers in order to ascertain an exact registration date.

In particular, it is noted that apparently the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was withdrawn on 18 August 2026, that the ship is now registered under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda as of 1 September 2026, and that contacts from Antigua and Barbuda are added to the correspondence.
In this regard it may be helpful to note that the IMO Legal Committee at its recent 113th session considered that the flag State responsibilities that were accrued before deletion from the registration did not cease to exist because of the removal from the flag registry (document LEG 113/19 paragraph 4(c).7.2).
All received information will be recorded on the joint IMO/ILO database on abandonment of seafarers. I herewith would like to invite S&P Global, who is maintaining the IMO GISIS database, for an update on the flag registration of the reported vessel.

Please find below the information regarding the vessel TRUFFALDINO that was detained in Belgium after a Port State Control inspection:
The ship TRUFFALDINO was detained in the port of Bruges (Port of Antwerp-Bruges) on 17th August 2026 and remains detained till this date.
We received information that the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines was withdrawn on 18th August 2026. We received information that the ship is now registered under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda as of 1st September 2026. Contacts from Antigua and Barbuda are added to this mail.
No reinspection has been carried out so far as there was no evidence provided for rectification of MLC violations. This is in line with our standard procedure.
Most of the seafarers (5 out of 6) were repatriated due to end of contract. Current nationalities on board remain the same (Philippines, Russia, Ukraine).
The company is providing assistance, although we haven’t yet received evidence of payment in full.

Reference is made to your email below concerning the subject vessel.
Please be advised that the vessel was deleted from the Registry of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines on 18 August 2026, following its unsatisfactory Port State Control performance.
During the period in which the vessel was registered under the flag of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, this Administration did not receive any complaint or notification under the Maritime Labour Convention, 2006 concerning outstanding or unpaid wages in respect of the vessel or its seafarers.
According to the information presently available to this Administration, the vessel is currently registered under the flag of Antigua and Barbuda.
Notwithstanding the above, and although the vessel is no longer under the jurisdiction of this Administration as its flag State, we remain ready to provide IMO, ILO and/or the competent authorities concerned with any relevant information or assistance available to us that may facilitate the resolution of this matter and the protection of the seafarers concerned.
