Following our below communication, please see below quoted message received from the insurance company with attached travel itinerary on the repatriation of these crew members.

Good day.
Our claim team are in contact with owner of MV PRADA.
The vessel is detained by NIS South Korea, and NIS had reject the owner request to repatriate the crew for many times, the owner told us they have no intention to abandon the crew.
As per the latest feedback from owner, the crew already back home on September 22,attached ticket information for your reference.
Owner will pay the crew wages after the Chinese holiday.
We will continue to pay attention on this case untill all crew wages are paid.

It is our understanding that either they commenced their trip to Vietnam or already arrived pending full payment of any outstanding.
Our position is that we cannot wait until completion of the holidays; therefore, we are pressing them to pay immediately the well deserved salary of these seafarers.

Further to our message below, we wish to provide an update on the actions taken by the Administration regarding the reported abandonment of the seafarers aboard MV PRADA (IMO 1079345).
The Tanzania Zanzibar International Register of Shipping has formally notified the vessel’s financial security provider, Africa Asia Shipowner Mutual Assurance Association, and requested the immediate activation of the abandonment claims protocol under the applicable MLC financial security certificate.
For the IMO’s record, the insurer has been formally required to:
1. Acknowledge receipt of the notification and confirm activation of the claim within five working days;
2. Identify the designated claims handler and provide their contact details;
3. Submit a substantive response and evidence of an initial payment or other immediate financial assistance within fourteen calendar days;
4. Confirm the arrangements made for the seafarers’ essential needs and, where applicable, repatriation; and
5. Provide regular written progress reports until the case is fully resolved.
The representative of the registered owner has also been formally notified and requested to cooperate fully and take the necessary action to facilitate the prompt resolution of the case.
The Administration takes seafarer abandonment claims with the utmost seriousness. We remain fully committed to protecting the welfare and rights of the affected seafarers and will take all necessary measures within our competence to ensure that this matter is addressed appropriately and without undue delay.
We are actively monitoring compliance with the above deadlines and will keep the IMO informed of material developments, including the insurer’s response and progress toward resolution of the case.

The vessel is suspected of breaching UN Security Council regulations relating to North Korea, need to confirm whether Korean law allows support to the crew directly.
