After having a major engine breakdown in the vicinity of Acores, the vessel was arrested due to the the complaints made by creditor companies to the Authorities of Portugal. The complaints was due to the outstading debt by the vessel owner to NIVECO Co. The ship's crews are no longer on board, and, based on Article 17 of the Portuguese Law No: 202/98, the ship was transferred to the Portugal Authroties concerned. All the crews have been safely repatriated by the Portugal ITF representatives.
The vessel is moored in Ponta Delgada commercial harbour, and waiting for the Court's decision on the arrest as to providing the due financial amount for the payment of the crew wages.
