We have been processing this complaint from the crew, however; our efforts to communicate with the owners have been unsuccessful, through the legal representative and the RO of the vessel was unsuccessful too, they inform us
that they also do not receive a response from the owner.
We have proceeded to request General Directorate of Merchant Marine for apply penalties to the owner/operator of the vessel for serious noncompliance with the MLC, 2006, as it is the abandonment of the crew and they don´t have the
Financial Security, since the MLC Section has indicated.
We have spoken to our embassy in UAE to help us contact the owners.
