COMMENTS BY THE HELLENIC MINISTRY OF MARITIME AFFAIRS AND INSULAR POLICY ON THE REPORTING OF VESSEL “MGI ONE” (IMO 9538309) AS RESOLVED IN THE DATABASE ON REPORTED INCIDENTS OF ABANDONMENTOF SEAFARERS
1. The vessel “MGI ONE” (IMO 9538309) under the flag of Liberia was detained in October 2016 (originally named Katerina L, Panama flag) following a port state control (PSC) inspection by the competent PSC officers in Piraeus anchorage. In the context of the PSC inspection, several MLC related deficiencies were found.
2. In accordance with available information, wages of the seafarers have been duly remitted and all crew members have signed off the vessel and have been repatriated during autumn 2017.
3. It can therefore be concluded that the respective case of abandonment may be reported as resolved.
