Circumstances
Same owner as Jerna S, Sanad, and Aman – all abandoned. Vessel was previously abandoned in Malta. Crew unpaid since December, problems with provisions and supply of fuel oil. No electrical power on board, vessel was in blackout. Some delays while P&I listened to owner’s stories in spite of previous experience.
The notification date has been corrected from 28 October 2017 to 28 January 2018 to align with the LEG 112/4(a) Report on the IMO/ILO Joint Database on the Abandonment of Seafarers. (by the ILO on 05/12/2025)

Once the P&I was persuaded about the owner’s attitude and having witnessed his repeated defaulting, things moved at a very good pace between ITF and P&I. Ship managers also contributed by providing the required details.
