(From the International Group of P&I Clubs)
Many thanks for keeping me in copy on these unfortunate abandonment cases. The Orestina is entered for protection and indemnity insurance cover in the West of England P&I Association, one of the 13 Associations comprising the International Group of P&I Clubs.
You may wish to know that the West of England is discharging its obligations under the MLC repatriation certificate issued pursuant to MLC Standard 2.5.2, and it is currently working actively with ITF and other interested parties in order to facilitate repatriation of the Orestina crew as soon as practicable. I would be grateful if these observations could be added to the comment box in the attached report.
