16 May 2022: Liberia
On May 12, 2022, the Administration received an update from the new owner’s representative confirming that crew wages were paid for up to January 21, 2021 and all crew were repatriated accordingly.

6 November 2020: Liberia
This Administration has been working on this case since it was reported to us, and has been in communication with the shipowner, P and I club, charterer reps, and local authorities of the port State to assist the seafarer. P and I club continuously are working on getting the hopeful repatriation of the seafarers.
We will continue to provide you with updates on this matter as it occur. We also would like to express our appreciation for the support and cooperation of the Philippine authorities, including the local PSC for their continuing assistance.

6 November 2020: Philippines
The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) of the Republic of the Philippines respectfully provides you with our letter dated 30 October 2020 requesting IMO's assistance to inform the Liberian Administration of the case of abandonment of the Bulk Tanker Bourbon and to request their plan on the repatriation of the crew as well as on the payment of their wages.

19 October 2020: International Transport Workers' Federation
The local authorities do not allow the crew to be repatriated without replancement crew.

7 October 2020: Liberia
The Administration contacted the vessel's management company who denied the allegation. The Administration contacted the Swedish Club; the Club confirmed that the vessel had been without main electrical power for an extended period of time; the crew has not been paid for 2 months; the vessel's owners have not been providing necessary support and maintenance to the crew; the charterers have been supplying fuel and provisions for the crew. Some crewmembers are sick and want to be repatriated.

The Liberian Administration reached out to the local Port State Authorities to request access for crew repatriation.
The local Authorities will not allow the crew to be repatriated without replacement crew.

The Swedish Club's local correspondents in Manila are discussing the matter with the local authorities with a view to obtaining their cooperation on the crew repatriation and, if necessary, locating a safe layby berth or anchorage.
