From IGP&I
I can report that there is no fishing vessel named GEORGIY under any of the International Group P&I Clubs.
3 July 2021: International Maritime Organisation
In an earlier message to Mr. Liam Ryan of the Saint Kitts and Nevis International Shipping Registry on 3 July 2021, in which you were also included, I explained that the only fishing vessel (Fish Catching) on IMO GISIS having the name ‘GEORGIY’ is a fishing vessel with IMO number 7831903 (not 9645968 that is our mistake) with registration in Saint Kitts and Nevis. However, the vessel was broken up in 2012.
Meanwhile, we did some further research and found out that there actually exists a fishing vessel with the name ‘GEORGIY’, which is abandoned in Freetown, Sierra Leone since 2 June 2021 having on board 4 seafarers from Russian Federation and Ukraine, has the following details:
MMSI: 272530000 (no IMO number)
Call Sign: UUEH
Flag: Ukraine [UA]
2 July 2021: Saint Kitts and Nevis
