Circumstances
8 months owed wages and some of the crew were wages due were lower than stipulated on their SEA. 3 crew members wanted to be repatriated in Korea but agreed to repatriation in China. There were issues with the availability of food and water as well.

China Maritime Safety Administration has promptly organized personnel to conduct a thorough investigation into the situation of the vessel in question. Below are the findings:

2. Crew Situation Verification:
The investigation found that the shipowner has conscientiously fulfilled the requirements of the 2006 Maritime Labor Convention, fulfilled their obligations to arrange and pay for the repatriation of seafarers, pay wages, and provide basic needs of seafarers, including medical care. The wages of seafarers have been paid on time, the situation of unpaid wages to seafarers were not found. Based on the above findings, it is not recommended to include the DORIS vessel in the joint database for abandoned seafarers.
