Circumstances
Crew are owed 3 months wages. Most of the wages are below ILO minimum and the vessel has multiple PSC deficiencies, which have not yet be resolved. Agent has given up their mandate on the vessel

31 August 2026: India
from the Directorate General of Shipping.
I am directed to refer to the trailing email received from the Consulate General of India (CGI), Milan, Italy and the ITF Inspector, Trieste, Italy, wherein it has been informed that the Indian seafarers onboard the vessel Al Filk, which was stranded at Monfalcone Port, Italy, in September 2024, have been repatriated and their wages have been paid up to the date of their return to India.
In view of the above, it is requested to kindly take necessary action for resolution and closure of the case at the earliest.
11 December 2025: India
from the Directorate General of Shipping.
This is to inform you that the Directorate General of Shipping has initiated multiple actions to expedite the repatriation and wage settlement of the affected seafarers.
The following steps have been undertaken:
1. Letters have been issued to the concerned RPSL companies directing them to expedite the repatriation process and ensure timely settlement of wages.
2. The Directorate Seamen’s Employment Office (DSEO) has been instructed to:
◦ Intimate the concerned parties regarding the case,
◦ Follow up regularly with the respective RPSL companies, and
◦ Conduct hearings with the RPSL companies wherever required.
3. The MEA (Division-wise) has been informed about the case to facilitate additional details and necessary coordination.
4. A Demi-Official (DO) letter has been issued to the MoPSW for their intimation and further guidance.
Kindly find attached the excel sheet with case wise updates. It is our humble request to update this in the IMO/ILO Joint database under comments and observation section. We will also be sending regular updates regarding each case as and when we get case notifications so that it can be uploaded in the comments and observation section.
This coordinated approach is aimed at ensuring timely resolution of the matter.

I have just received confirmation from Tanzania that vessel is still registered under their flag. Please see attached
We don’t have this owner on our database so I have gone back to them for clarification.
They mention the owner & manager as Overseas Maritime Ltd with a Turkish address. Have asked for confirmation as not convinced the owner is registered in Turkey whereas the manager could be.
Have updated our record to show vessel under Tanzania flag.
